PURA VIDA

We stayed in this home for 3 nights - family of 4 with two young boys and my in-laws, so 6 total. Plenty of space and the layout was great. The view was the absolute best part, we really enjoyed spending time outside in the evenings watching the sunset.
The house had tons of issues though. It’s just showings its age and needs some maintenance. Honestly I’m surprised they rent it out as is because there’s a laundry list of items. If I was the owner, I know I would want certain things fixed before continuing to rent it out. We’re a family that likes to cook in our vacation rentals, so that’s where we noticed the first issue - the pots and pans are horrible. I don’t expect top of the line by any means, they are just old and scratched, like the Teflon could get in your food. There’s also only one massive cutting board, would have been nice to have a smaller more manageable one. Also found it odd that there was zero soap provided in the house. No dish soap, hand soap nothing, not even little starter packs. The small sink in the island drips constantly. The door handle to the deck kept falling off. There’s rust in the microwave. The lower level by the water was on the verge of a junkyard. The hammock is broken. There’s broken patio furniture, a broken oar, a piling just laying there in the way. These are all things a maintenance man can fix fairly easily, they just need to get it done. I would rent this property again if these items were addressed.

the house was beautiful , the beds were super comfy, and the A/C worked great, the only thing keeping this house from being perfect was there was no pool furniture, no lounge chairs or table and chairs or an umbrella. the pool is in the front the house so a little shade would have been nice , the resort rental company staff were great!!

Experience was not pleasant.

Over a dozen bulbs out which have to change the ones in the main batroom all gone.
No ice maker in the house.
Range exhaust not working many other item not working, too many to list.

This was a much needed vacation and I was able to spend my birthday with my son for the first time in a couple years We loved having everything we needed right in one place,and honestly plan to do it again asap. Valerie and Joel were wonderful and helpful with all we needed.

We had a great stay at this beautiful home. The house itself is spacious and well-appointed, with a fantastic layout perfect for relaxing or spending time with family. The pool and hot tub were definitely the highlights—clean, inviting, and truly made the stay feel like a private retreat.

We did run into a few minor issues during our time there, which is the only reason for the 4-star rating. That said, the level of customer service more than made up for it. The host was incredibly responsive, kind, and proactive in addressing everything we brought up. Their attention and care really stood out.

Overall, we had a lovely experience and would happily return. With just a few small improvements, this would easily be a 5-star stay.

Showed up, fridge door clearly open for days, took 3 days to get someone to come fix it and get fridge to temp. We lost food. Did not offer to buy ice or provide coolers. Separate ice maker didnt work. Couches were run down and sagging, kitchen chair broken. Only 1/3 of outdoor furniture that were in the pictures and no chaise lounges. Pool wasnt heated when we showed up even after guy said it was in an email I sent to remind them to turn it on. I had to find manual online to get pool heater on because Joel didnt know how to do it and pool guy didnt show for 2 days. Washer broke after 3 days. Door spring latches were broken and springs were gouging out wood and paint on door frame and was clearly happening for months. Master bed was broken and sagging in the middle. Shower head was broken and sprayed water up at the ceiling. Much more that I called and emailed about and got no response to my long email listing issues. Nice property but poorly maintained and zero management of rentals. Joel was dismissive and rude. He tried to charge me $18 for more sheets while he was there assessing the fridge that didnt work because the mattress we wanted sheets for "wasn't included in the rental". He also told us the outdoor seating just got moved around a lot like we did not bother looking everywhere for it. The 2 women in the office were nice, accommodating, and regretful when I dealt with them. Half the issues would have been fixed by a simple walkthrough and some attention to detail. This house is clearly not managed well and either the management company isnt telling the owners about it or the owners just dont want to put money into it. Reminded me of a nice frat house. Looks good from a distance but, up close, it is a mess. Great location but find a different rental.

Not one problem the management was so accommodating enjoyable stay. I can’t say enough nice things about the managements professionalism and welcoming plus as guest made it very relaxing. The house was amazing location we were able to launch our jet skis close by. The views were beautiful and the pool was cleaning fresh water and a great time. What a perfect home. We loved everything snd can’t wait to go back!

Location was perfect. Enjoyed the pool after a long day at the beach, very refreshing. This house was very clean and organized, planning on staying here again in the near future. Only draw back is, not having a ladder to climb up/ down, getting in and out of kayaks. ( which was brought to their attention).

After reading a couple of reviews of previous guests we were skeptical but proceeded to book anyway. We were not disappointed. This is a fabulous property. It was very clean, and the amenities were exceptional. Everything we needed to get us started was available, pots, pans, dishes, bath items, paper items, etc. All appliances were commercial grade and very nice. The outside grill was natural gas so no need to worry about running out of propane. Very scenic property as it was nice to see recreational and fishing boats travel in and out of the canal as we sat in the shaded patio with a cool drink. The pool and jacuzzi were great. However, the pool lights did not work. All the properties are built on stilts, so it is not recommended for someone who has difficulties climbing stairs. All an all it was great, and we would recommend this property to others. Yes, the property managers were attentive as well to all our needs. Thanks for a great time with our family gathering...we shall return!
