JAMAICA COVE CAMP

We truly enjoyed our stay here. House was roomy and clean. A quick drive over to the beach but also worth the walk. We enjoyed a lot of time on the dock fishing.

Neighbor has 3 dogs. All super friendly, my 4 year old played with them just fine.

It was a great home away from home for the week.

This was our 4th time staying at Jamaica Cove Camp and have been renting with Wolverton since 2011.
It's a great location and very accessible to all you need. There is only 1 thing that should be addressed. The master bedroom is so much colder than the rest of the house.
The neighbors are very nice. We spent most of our time under the house by the canal as it is very calming and relaxing.

The location and set up of this house was perfect for our group of guys looking to fish and kayak for the weekend. Plenty of space for everyone, and the house was comfortable. We found just about everything we needed in the house, and the directions provided ahead of time helped us prepare for anything we should bring. The house was fairly clean- could have been a little tidier. The grill hadn't been cleaned by the prior guest despite a warning that a charge would apply, so maybe the cleaning company isn't thorough. Communication wasn't as forthcoming as other rentals because you work with a leasing company rather than a person/owner, but they didn't provide a bad experience, just not as great as a typical host. Overall, I would stay here again and have stayed one other time in the past.

Three explorers were out to enjoy the natural beauty offered at Galveston Island -- and a few migratory birds, too. Jamaica Beach became our perfect home with its three bedrooms, multiple baths and well-stocked kitchen, but we loved the deck. The neighbors were so quiet and respectful so gazing at the full moon and stars was a delight, and breakfasting with a view of the state nature preserve will be a long-kept memory for us urbanites.

Thanks to Keitha and Valerie, our questions on accommodations were answered and they made sure we had the best stay.

The home was nice and roomy. The fishing was awesome and we had a great fish fry. It was perfect for our family. Nice and quiet neighborhood.

We had the best time. We will be planning another trip in the future.

I'm accustomed to VRBO rentals having a few more personal touches than this one, so would suggest future renters come more prepared than they may expect with things that would normally be provided (towels, tp, soap). Overall, it was a great rental and we would return.

Needs a little tlc. We had issues. They did Reimburse us some of are money.

The place had everything that we wanted and more! Great location to the beach and a little canal fishing to boot! We had a great time.

It was a perfect getaway during this pandemic. Beach was beautiful, house was great. Only issue we had was WIFI signal was not good, all they need is to get Xfinity which is right out front of the home and that would fix the issue with that, and the satellite that I had to restart 3 times. Other than those issues everything else was perfect. Thank you for making a 25th anniversary getaway great!

The house was perfect except for the carpet had a oder otherwise it was great

Walked into the home and immediately was hit with "it smells like pee" or "dirty socks." It was awful! Immediately called the office and they said someone would come the next morning to clean the carpet. What that entailed was coming with some orange spray and spraying it everywhere. So then we had citrus smelling dirty socks. We ended up leaving windows and doors open. Aside from this, the home is spacious and well stocked. The carpet needs to be replaced, but everything else was okay. The home needs a deep cleaning, and the vents needs to be cleaned as they are the source of the "dirty sock smell." In fairness, the owner did return one nights pay for the expenses we incurred to try to clean the first night when property management couldn't come until the next day. GREAT location!

This is a very fun place to get away.Caught many fish off the dock.Home is a little dated but still nice and well equipped.The folks at Wolverton were very attentive to every issue and need we had.Great people and consider them friends!I would recommend this property to anyone looking to get away for a while.

Wolverton staff took care of us so great! If we needed anything they were always there for us. The house was great! Spacious, comfortable. The master bedroom bed is so comfortable had a topper on it that made it incredibly cozy. Our son loved his bedroom and said his bed was comfortable too! Being on the canal is a great experience.

It was a great place to stay.

upstairs house was clean and nice, if it were my house and i was renting it, i would have cleaned downstairs a little better. rug could use a power washing and replace rusted out chairs. good thing we brought our own
and wished the underwater canal lights worked
but overall we had a good time

We enjoyed the stay so much that we are going to book our next year years vacation around the same location, but we will need a bigger house. It was nice to stay in a home versus a hotel because the home was fully stocked with what we needed.

Upon our arrival we walked the entire house so that we could communicate any damages prior to the office closing at 5pm. Since Check in is not until 4 we had very little time. First off the bat we noticed the damages to the doors to the laundry room. Then the smell, clearly pets have been very welcomed here. All the rooms appeared to be cleaned except for the room downstairs. The floor was completely wet, shower had dirt in it, and bed linens were clearly not changed. This house could use an entire deep cleaning as there was plenty of dust! The couch needs to be steamed cleaned as it smelled as if pets have been allowed to sit or lay on it. The location was great. We had fun visiting different venues. Overall our stay was okay and would not mind coming back if the house is in better overall clean condition.

We had a great time! Rented this house for 1 month. The house is "cozy". There isn't a large dining area. But the layout worked well and had plenty of space for entertaining everybody. We loved the dock space for parking our boat. The house was nicely remodeled and decorated. THe Rental office staff were great!

I rented the house for spring break with my family and loved the home. Plenty of room, great views & a tun to do. There was not a bad thing about this home
